Three Friends, One Story: Seventeen Years of Enforced Disappearance in Khuzdar

Kabeer Baloch, Mushtaq Baloch, and Attaullah Baloch — three friends — were subjected to enforced disappearance from Khuzdar on 27 March 2009. As of 7 August 2026, seventeen years, four months, and eleven days later, they have never returned home, and no credible information about their whereabouts has ever been made public.
Their families continue to wait for the return of their loved ones. This is not merely the story of three missing persons; it is the story of families who have endured years of pain, uncertainty, and helplessness — waiting for even a glimpse of their loved ones and a confirmation that they are safe.
A day to raise their voices
On 14 August, an online campaign will be held on X against enforced disappearances. It will be a day to raise voices for all those who have been forcibly disappeared, whose voices have been silenced, and whose families continue to wait for them. They must not remain nameless, and they must not remain voiceless.
